We stole away for a quick weekend with two of our grandsons. Leaving from Coeur d Alene and traveling North towards Sandpoint, we stopped at Second Avenue Pizza for an order we had called in about 45 minutes earlier. We love to get the garlic cheese bread which basically is a cheese pizza with marinara sauce for dipping. We purchased two large for 13.00 bucks, and everyone was happy!
Luby Bay is on Priest Lake, so we headed west on Highway two with great anticipation.
Upon arriving we were immediately impressed with this campground. The sites are a nice size with plenty of space and privacy between them. We settled in and then walked down to the beach. Priest Lake is beautiful, and the beach did not disappoint. The white sand and cool water were very inviting.
We also took our e-bikes, which we were grateful to have as it is a hilly campground. We rode around taking in the fresh air and scenery.
Our evening involved a campfire and smores. The grands slept perfectly on the small bed and our daughter on the sofa bed. The next morning, we played in the sand, and swam in the cool lake water. It was lovely.
We pulled out later that day with fond memories and visions of another time when we will return to Luby Bay!
